I completely understand what you’re trying to convey, but I respectfully disagree. Growth or not has nothing to do with FAANG or whatever company someone works for, in my experience.

As a person who spent time between startups to the largest companies, I’ve experienced the most growth at Google and it was because of the team and organization. Despite the fact that it’s a FAANG.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! My view is based on my own experiences, and so it's always interesting to hear other perspectives.

I'm happy to hear that you had your most growth at Google. I think a lot of people have a pre-conceived notion that once they get a job at a FAANG, they are set for life because they can just rely on that employer's brand to carry them. This is a very passive view. What I found is that being at a small company gives me freedom to grow beyond just my job description, move fast, and see the directly results of my hard work.

I think we can both agree that no matter where you go, you should focus on how you can create impact and build yourself up for growth. Don't just become another cog in the machine; take matters into your own hands and deliver impact wherever you are.

Absolutely, I completely agree that one should join a company because of its brand.

All places have exciting things to offer, people should prioritize what they’re looking for individually, irrespective of FAANG or not.
